Download a report as PowerPoint or Excel
PowerPoint and Excel export for agency reports: download any client report as editable slides or a workbook with every number.
Lumina turns any client report into a PowerPoint deck or an Excel workbook. Use PowerPoint when you present results in a meeting. Use Excel when someone wants to check or reuse the numbers.
- Open a report and click PowerPoint or Excel, next to PDF.
- The file downloads with the report's current dates, filters and layout.
What is in each file
- PowerPoint: a cover with your logo, then one slide per item on the report. Number tiles show the change against the previous period, charts are real PowerPoint charts you can edit, and tables show their top 12 rows.
- The cover shows the report name, the client, the dates and, when the report compares, the period it compares with. Its footer says the deck was prepared by your agency with Lumina, and on which day.
- A report with several pages gets a section slide for each page. Headings on the report become section slides, and notes become text slides.
- When a table has more than 12 rows, its slide says how many it shows, in the report's sort order.
- Excel: a Summary sheet with the report name, client, dates and number tiles, then one sheet for each chart or table with every row. Numbers are real numbers with currency and percent formats.
- If some numbers could not load, or the client's accounts use different currencies, the file says so: on a note slide in PowerPoint and on the Summary sheet in Excel.
What stays the same as the report
- The numbers are the same as on the report, with the client's markup and your custom metrics where the report shows them.
- Arabic reports download in Arabic, right to left.
- Shared links and the client portal have the same buttons. Each download is written to the activity log, and at most 20 are allowed in 10 minutes per person or link.
Who it is for
Account managers who send a deck before a client meeting, and clients or finance teams who want the raw numbers in a spreadsheet. Owners, admins and members download from the Reports page. Client viewers download from the client portal, and anyone with a share link can download from the link.
A typical example
- Open the client's monthly report on the Reports page.
- Set the dates to last month and turn on the comparison with the previous period.
- Click PowerPoint. The deck has a cover, the number tiles with their change, and one slide for each chart and table.
- Add your own comment slides in PowerPoint before the meeting.
- If the client also wants every row, click Excel.
Tips
- Set your logo and brand color in Settings, Organization. The deck uses your brand color, and the cover shows your logo.
- Use a PNG or JPEG logo. A WebP logo does not show on the cover.
- Change the dates and filters on screen first. The file uses what you see.
- In the app, the file follows the Real cost or As the client sees it switch on the report, so you can download the client's version.
- File names have the client, the report name and the dates, so files for different months do not overwrite each other.
Common questions
- Can I edit the charts in PowerPoint?
- Yes. Charts are real PowerPoint charts with their numbers inside, so you can change titles, colors and data in PowerPoint.
- Why does a table slide show only 12 rows?
- So the table fits on the slide. The slide says how many rows it shows out of the total. The Excel file has every row.
- Do I need to save a report before I download it?
- No. The buttons work on any report you have open for a client, including templates. A report that is not saved is named Performance report in the file.
- Can my clients download the files themselves?
- Yes. Share links and the client portal have the same PDF, PowerPoint and Excel buttons. Each person or link can download up to 20 files in 10 minutes.
- Are the Excel numbers real numbers or text?
- Real numbers, with currency and percent formats. You can sort, add up and chart them in Excel.
- Which packages include PowerPoint and Excel export?
- Every package has them, and so does the free trial.
