Set up Meta (Facebook and Instagram ads)
Connect the Meta ad accounts your Facebook login can reach, including Business Manager accounts.
Lumina asks Meta for two read permissions: ads_read, to read ad results, and business_management, to list the Business Managers you belong to and their ad accounts. It cannot create, change or pause ads.
- Open Data sources. Only owners and admins can connect logins.
- On the Meta card, click Continue with Meta.
- Log in to Facebook, choose the businesses and ad accounts Lumina may read, and confirm.
- Back in Lumina, the card shows how many ad accounts were found.
- Go to Client Hub and pick which ad accounts belong to each client. Numbers start to sync once an account belongs to a client.
- Lumina finds your own ad accounts and the ad accounts of every Business Manager you belong to, both owned and client accounts.
- A client's account only shows if your Facebook login (or your business, as a partner) has access to it in Meta's business settings.
- Meta logins last about 60 days and cannot be renewed in the background. When one ends, the login shows Needs reconnect; click Reconnect.
- Missing an account? Ask for access in Meta first, then click Refresh account list on the Meta card.
While the platform is still reviewing Lumina's app, only test users can sign in. See Why only testers can connect some platforms.
