Get alerts in Slack
Post alert rules and broken logins to a Slack channel with an incoming webhook.
- In Slack, add the Incoming Webhooks app to the channel you want and copy its webhook URL. It starts with https://hooks.slack.com/services/.
- In Lumina, open Alerts and find the Slack card.
- Paste the URL in Slack webhook address. You can also type the channel name.
- Choose Post alert rules when they trigger, Post when a platform login stops working, or both.
- Click Connect Slack. Lumina posts a test message right away.
- Only owners and admins can set up Slack. Members see Ask an owner or admin to connect Slack.
- Each alert posts once to Slack. This is separate from the alert email.
- Send a test message checks the connection again. Turn off Slack alerts removes it.
- The webhook address is stored encrypted and is never shown again. To change it, paste a new one.
- If Slack says the webhook no longer works, the card shows the last error.
